Crochet Music by Mood | My Go-To Albums

Elvis Winding Yarn

Don’t get me wrong, I love a well-curated playlist. I’m a Google Play Music girl (formerly Songza, RIP) and love a little “Diva House Anthems” or “You Betta Work: 90’s Runway” playlists. But when I need to get things DONE, I always reach for a full album. Albums are the perfect answer when you just want to put something on and let it ride for at least an hour. I don’t know about you, but with playlists sometimes I get caught up skipping song after song until I enter a vortex and 30 minutes later I’m somehow reading about if Stevie Nicks really is a witch.

Here’s some albums I have on repeat for every occasion…

When I’m drinking my morning coffee – Salad Days by Mac DeMarco

When I am shooting photos and want to dance and sing – The Very Best of Daryl Hall and John Oates by Hall and Oates

When I want to crochet at lightning speed – You’re Dead by Flying Lotus

When I need to get in my creative zone – Painting With by Animal Collective

When I am crocheting with a glass of wine – Little Girl Blue by Nina Simone

When I need to take a chill pill – Hohokum Original Game Soundtrack

When I want to be moody while wearing all black – Disintegration by The Cure

When the windows are open, but I’m really wishing I could be porch-sittin’ but it’s too hot and buggy in Miami – b’lieve i’m going down… by Kurt Vile

When I want to feel like a cool girl – Pleasure by Feist

What albums or musicians are you loving at the moment? I’d love to add some good stuff to my queue!
